What we do
The EVCP Projects Team provides in-house organizational development support to EVCP Organization leaders and units in areas such as strategy and program design, solution design, change management, and organizational and process improvement. We use our collective expertise in project management, change management, and group facilitation and our deep understanding of UCSF as an institution to help the EVCPO deliver on strategic goals and make lasting improvements to a variety of business operations.

Team
Sarah Fidelibus, MA, Director
Sarah joined the EVCP Projects team in February 2024, after spending almost five years in UCSF’s Program Management Office, where she helped executive leaders deliver on a variety of enterprise-wide projects and initiatives, including the Gender Recognition and Lived Name policy implementation and the development of the key pillars of UCSF’s Anti-Racism Initiative. As director of the Projects Team, Sarah is responsible for designing a strategic approach to offering organizational development solutions for units within the EVCPO, as well as providing coaching and consulting guidance to EVCPO leaders and staff to assist them in overcoming organizational challenges and maintaining momentum on key projects.
Prior to coming to UCSF, Sarah spent seven years at UC Office of the President (UCOP), where she oversaw program development, evaluation, and improvement for UC Curriculum Integration, a statewide initiative focused on providing support to districts and county offices of education in their efforts to improve students’ college and career readiness. Sarah is an educator at heart, having begun her career in higher education by spending 10 years teaching English composition at San Francisco State University, where she was highly regarded by students and colleagues.
Sarah holds master’s degrees in organizational learning and effectiveness from University of the Pacific and in English literature from San Francisco State University, and a BA in English literature from San Diego State University. She is also a certified Prosci Change Management practitioner.
Lindsey Cannon, MPH, Organizational Development Consultant
Lindsey serves as a senior project manager for a variety of key initiatives, developing comprehensive workplans, managing workflows, and fostering effective communication throughout all stages of a project. She is also responsible for convening stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects.
With over 17 years of experience at UCSF, Lindsey has held several senior project management positions. Prior to joining the EVCP Projects Team in February 2023, she spent nine years at UCSF’s Office of Medical Education, where she managed various high-impact initiatives, including the redesign of the Bridges Curriculum. From 2010 to 2014, she oversaw multiple arms of the UC-wide Athena Breast Health Network, leading teams in technology product development and breast cancer risk assessment. In her final year, she served as the network’s director of operations.
Lindsey initially joined UCSF in 2007 as a project manager in the Department of Global Health (formerly Global Health Sciences), where she successfully managed a diverse portfolio of international projects. One of her notable accomplishments includes leading a multi-year, multimillion-dollar health professions education partnership with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania.
Lindsey holds a master of public health in global health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and a bachelor of arts in international development with a Spanish minor from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Usma Khan, MS, Senior Organizational Development Consultant
Usma joined the EVCPO in January 2025 as a senior organizational consultant. In her role, she applies wide-ranging experience and proficiency in a variety of organizational development contexts to develop effective business process analysis, change management, and strategic planning approaches to projects that typically have organization-wide impact.
Usma was most recently the chief operations officer at the Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative (BHHI) at ZSFG from 2021-2024, where she operationally led a team of over sixty staff, post-docs, and non-faculty academics. She oversaw strategic planning, financial management, human resources, and organizational development and change within the Initiative.
Prior to joining BHHI, Usma was the director of staffing and strategic operations at the Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) where she led human resources, strategic initiatives, organizational culture, and DEI for the institute. Over the years, Usma held multiple programmatic and operational roles at IGHS. She came to UCSF in 2005 as a research analyst in IGHS working on HIV prevention programs in sub-Saharan Africa.
Usma holds a master of science in environmental health from Harvard School of Public Health and a bachelor of arts in environmental science from UC Berkeley. She also is an ICF-certified professional coach.
